About me

My name is Tobias Schreier – can you pronounce it right? Many Americans couldn’t. Despite the hard to pronounce surname and the fact that I’m from Germany, I decided to set the default language of my blog to English. – Why? I’m really not the best learner and speaker of foreign languages, nor am I a crack in writing (even not in German) and there’s much to improve in my English skills for sure. Nevertheless I love foreign countries, especially the USA, and I want to get better and better in speaking the world language. I like traveling around, get to know other cultures and I’d like to experience parts of their history. So please forgive me if there are some mistakes.

What is this blog all about? It’s about me and my life. I should mention that I love Apple and its products, their future technologies and those of others, the 21st century phenomenom Social Media and much more I think it’s worth to talk about. Most important is my love to good design. Maybe this came up with my first Apple Mac. However, I’m going to study Industrial Design next year. I’m not sure where exactly right now, but I would love to go to Florence, Italy. I will tell you when the time is right.

I’d like to share some thoughts, some pictures, design works and much more with you. It would be a pleasure for me if you were a steady reader and it would be nice of you if you comment on many of my blog articles.

Why is this blog called “tobsch.iBlog”?

Seriously, I don’t like the trend that everything beginning with a lowercase “i” followed by an uppercase letter is cool. In my opinion, only Apple should be allowed to call his products like that. “tobsch” has been my name in the web for a long time now. The name of this blog is inspired by my best friend Sebastian Biewer, because he is always amused by how I name my iPhone or iPad: tobsch.iPhone, tobsch.iPad, tobsch.iPod and so on. No other good name crossed my mind, so I decided to call it “tobsch.iBlog”.
